Wine & Dine’s Marketplace gastronomic extravaganza held at CulinaryOn at Raffles Place last weekend (28 and 29 November) brought together Singapore’s top restaurants under one roof. I was delighted to be part of this event together with the F&B and Culinary team at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel. We had a station promoting the hotel’s festive fare during the first day of this extravaganza.

The gourmet event was a heavenly treat for the senses who those who have a passion for good food and the finer things in life.
Attendees indulged in food and drinks from restaurants such as Alkaff Mansion Ristorante, Den Bar and Kitchen, Uogashi, Nox – Dine in the Dark and Xi Yan and learnt how to make pastas, shuck oysters, bake pastries and mix cocktails. Wine aficionados were also taught how to pair different cuisines with wine.

Stir-fried spicy basil prawns with Korean rice cakes at Xi Yan
Love this dish. The prawns are cooked in white rice wine, rose wine, hua tiao wine, chaozhou satay sauce and fresh basil. Gravy is rich and flavourful and goes well with the rice cakes.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself at the event. It was an eye-opener with lots of delectable food from renowned restaurants. The best part is that you can learn something new.
